BIOGRAPHY

Arthur S.Liebeskind is President of Howard Way and Associates, Warehousing and Distribution Consultants. As a consultant, he has been involved with warehousing and allied subjects for over thirty years. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. As editor of THE HOWARD WAY LETTER, he writes and edits a popular monthly newsletter on warehousing problems and solutions. He has developed a best selling warehouse control system that runs on microcomputers as well as a special pallet planning application for Windows. An Engineering graduate of Cornell University, he has managed both production and service companies in his career. An experienced lecturer, Mr. Liebeskind has spoken before technical associations and corporations throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Asia. Some of Mr. Liebeskind's accomplishments include the design and implementation of a number of Automatic Storage and Retrieval Warehouses for some of America's most successful companies.

RANGE OF SERVICES

Howard Way and Associates is a consulting firm that has specialized in Physical Distribution/Warehousing and Materials Handling for many years. Briefly, the range of our services is as follows:

CONCEPTUAL CONSULTING:

This consists of a several-day visit to the client's facility in which we analyze his warehousing and storage from the standpoint of a total system. That is to say, we consider not only the physical aspects, but the control and communication side as well. We then recommend future actions, immediate remedies, and priorities for future goals. Our reports have a hands-on, practical approach and often contain recommendations that may be implemented immediately by the client in-house.

PROJECTS:

We do system design, layout and implementation on a fixed fee basis. Often, these follow a conceptual study at the client's request.

SOFTWARE:

Our WAREHOUSE MASTER II and WAREHOUSE MASTER Rx programs for warehouse and inventory control are solving tough problems in a cost-effective way in many distribution situations. Our SPACE II program offers a total solution to efficient pallet patterns.

SEMINARS:

We do seminars each year in the United States and abroad. These range from Basic Warehousing to Advanced Warehousing and Computerization in the Warehouse. All public seminars are available as in-house seminars as well.

NEWSLETTERS:

The HOWARD WAY LETTER is our well received Newsletter. It covers warehousing and distribution and concentrates on specific and usable techniques for improving warehouse productivity.

My personal consulting experience goes back some thirty years in warehousing, and I have handled projects from concept through the design phases, preparation of specifications, bid phase, purchase and final implementation.

These projects include six automated high rise warehouses as well as a great number of less sophisticated but extremely effective systems. Our style is to work swiftly, effectively, and to a deadline, and perhaps that is the reason that many of our clients return with additional assignments.
